The lovely swimming pool is located in the area behind the main house and it is of exclusive guest use only. Comfortable deck chairs surround the pool. Wooden picnic tables are nearby. A ‘bocce’ court is also available.
Il Poggiale is in the heart of Tuscany between Siena (30km) and Grosseto (47km) and is the ideal starting point to visit historic towns (such as Montalcino km 48, Pienza km 73, San Gimignano km 77, Maremma Nature Park km 55, San Galgano Abbey km 30, Castellina in Chianti km 54)
Last, but not least, the medieval village, Pari, which is only 6km from the Poggiale.
Various thermal treatments are available at a special rate at the thermal baths of Petriolo (4km). It is also possible to swim in the sulphur waters as they flow into the Farma River.
The Poggiale is bordered by the clear waters of the Merse River, which is only a few hundred meters away. What a wonderful occasion to get back to Nature and take a swim in a river which flows through the woods!
The wide open spaces around the Farmhouse are ideal for ball games. Horseback riding is also availabe at stables nearby (10km), reservations are necessary. A tennis court can be reserved in the village of Pari.
